Day 2 in Ireland and a trip around the Ring of Kerry

King Puck the Goat.
In Killorgin there’s a fair each year where a wild goat is crowned king.

Fireplace burning peat from the bogs. The burning peat has a very distinctive odor, one that will always remind me of Ireland.

All the pics on Day 2 are from a bus tour of the Ring Of Kerry.

First stop on the tour was a recreation of an 1800s Kerry bog village.

The blacksmith. The forge would be kept dark so the blacksmith could see if the iron was red or white.

For the laborers, every night was like a slumber party!

Scenic views everywhere we look.

Group of Spanish students on the bus tour with us.

Bus stopped at a farm for a demonstration of sheep herding dogs. These sheep are about to be herded.

That is one horny sheep. (Yes, it’s a sheep, not a goat.)

Clouds over the mountains along the farm.

The problem with trying to get pictures from the bus–reflections in the glass.

Statue of Charlie Chaplin in Waterville. He often came to the area on holiday.

Views off the south coast of the Kerry peninsula

This guy and his sheep and lil deer were at one of the bus stops.

Irish bee (perhaps named Eric?)
