Like the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano, Pintastic has once again returned to New England, and once again I attended Friday April 10. There was much pinball played, a few seminars attended, and even a little commerce.
A highlight of Pintastic is always the homebrew and custom games. Some new machines this year and some returning favorites. Luau, which only had a sketch of concept art for a playfield, was back as a complete game.

Beetlejuice was the hot new game this year. 4 machines in the main room, 3 more in one of the vendor rooms, and still always a line. I was able to play a few games. It’s a fun game, with lots of color and call-outs from the movie.

Pintastic always has some great non-gaming vendors, and this year was no exception. I got some great nuts from fudgin awesome. I should have bought more of those maple whiskey walnuts. Very addictive.
And when David Marston mentioned he could bring some pinball-related records, I jumped at the opportunity. I love it when two hobbies come together!
